DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S PRIZE FOR THE BSAC.  The Joint Services Shark Tagging Team has been awarded the Duke of Edinburgh’s Prize for the British Sub-Aqua Club for their work tagging critically endangered sharks and turtles around Cocos Island, Costa Rica.  The team were presented with the Award by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace in November 2011.

The Jurassic Shark Project as a whole was highly commended in the Ministry of Defence Sanctuary Awards 2010.

Exercise Jurassic Shark 3, Cocos Island 2010, was the winner of the Duke of Edinburgh's Prize for the British Sub-Aqua Club.

Exercise Jurassic Shark 2, Mexico 2008, was the winner of the Duke of Edinburgh's Prize for the British Sub-Aqua Club.

Exercise Jurassic Shark, Cocos Island 2006, was a runner-up in the Duke of Edinburgh's Prize for the British Sub-Aqua Club.

Exercise Minerva Sovereign, St Paul Island (Nova Scotia), 2001, was a runner-up in the Duke of Edinburgh's Prize for the British Sub-Aqua Club.

Exercise Saratoga Crossroads, Bikini Atoll, Truk Lagoon and Kwajalein Atoll, 1999, was a runner-up in the Duke of Edinburgh's Prize for the British Sub-Aqua Club.

Exercise Saratoga Crossroads was the winner of the BSAC Expedition of the Year Award 1999.

Exercise Minerva Sovereign was the winner of the BSAC Expedition of the Year Award 2001.
